Dennis Erb Racing Returns to Action in Lucas Oil Series Doubleheader this Weekend!
(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team and driver Dennis Erb will return to Dirt Late Model competition this upcoming weekend (March 6-7) in the states of Tennessee and South Carolina! The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction the annual running of the 'Spring Thaw' on Saturday night at the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee. The 60-lap main event at "The Gap" will pay $10,000 to the winner.
On Sunday afternoon, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will take the #28 team to the historic Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina. The 'March Madness VIII' show will take place on Sunday and another $10,000 top prize will be up for grabs. A 50-lap feature event will headline the dirt-slinging action at the track that boasts "Where Three Wide is a Given." Dennis is currently in the fifth position in the latest Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings following an exceptional 'Winternationals' in early February at the East Bay (FL) Raceway Park. The team has regrouped from a very busy "Speedweeks 2010," in which Dennis entered thirteen races at the Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia, East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida, and Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. The Carpentersville, Illinois native accumulated five Top Five finishes and thirteen Top Ten performances during his stint down south in late January-early February. As part of his astonishing consistency, Dennis was awarded an extra $5,000 for winning his second Dart Winternationals Points Championship at East Bay.
