Dennis Erb, Jr. Tackles Sycamore Speedway on Heels of USA Nationals
(August 7, 2026) The Dennis Erb Racing team has only one event circled on their racing calendar for this weekend, as they are set to invade Sycamore Speedway in Maple Park, Illinois later tonight, August 7. Last weekend, the #28 team trekked north to the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin on July 30-August 1 for the 39th edition of the 'USA Nationals.' The action kicked off last Thursday with a $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdown. Dennis Erb, Jr. placed fourth in his heat race and third in his B-Main prior to rolling off from the inside of the thirteenth row in the 30-lap feature. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace was then able to advance seven positions in the contest to salvage an eighteenth place showing.

Following a washout on Friday, the entire 'USA Nationals' crown jewel program was held on Saturday in front of a huge grandstand crowd. Dennis stopped the clock second quickest in Group A during the qualifying session before running fourth in both his stacked heat race and his consolation event. With a $100,000 payday on the line, Dennis finished the 100-lap headliner in the twenty-fourth position. Complete results from the entire weekend can be viewed online at www.woolms.com.
