Erb, Jr. Set for Busy Illinois Speedweek Starting Tonight at Spoon River Speedway
(May 6, 2026)
Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team followed the World of Outlaws Late Model Series to the states of Iowa and Wisconsin from April 28-May 2 for a quartet of high profile events. Things kicked off last Tuesday night at Independence Motor Speedway in Independence, Iowa with a $12,000 to win shootout. Dennis stopped the clock seventh fastest in Group B during the qualifying session prior to starting and finishing fourth in his heat race. The dirt-slinging action then quickly turned to Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wisconsin for the three-day 'Dairyland Showdown.' In the pair of $10,000 to win preliminary shows, Dennis finished twenty-third on Thursday and twelfth on Friday. With a hefty $40,000 top prize up for grabs in Saturday evening's headliner, Dennis ran fifth in his heat race, second in his B-Main, and fourteenth in the 50-lapper after passing six competitors. He emerged from the hectic week tenth in the latest version of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series point standings. Full results from all four races can be accessed online at www.woolms.com.

Another busy stretch greats Dennis Erb Racing from May 6-9, as four lucrative races will make up Illinois Speedweek. The FloRacing Night in America Series will kick off their season later tonight with a $20,000 to win program at Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Illinois. Another $20,000 paycheck will be on the line with the miniseries on Thursday at Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois. Dennis is planning on following the entire FloRacing Night in America Series schedule to vie for the $75,000 championship title.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will then invade the Land of Lincoln to sanction a pair of events over the weekend. On Friday night, Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois will host the $25,000 to win ‘Farmer City 74.’ At Fairbury Speedway in downtown Fairbury, Illinois on Saturday evening, Dennis will gun for the $30,000 payday in the annual running of the ‘FALS Spring Shootout.’ Each of the four races this week will be broadcast LIVE to subscribers of FloRacing.
